Our product is an integrated suite of systems in the Azure cloud, that we continuously improve with our continuous deliveries and an internal team assumes end-to-end responsibility. We've come a long way since embarking on this 'gargantuan' task. Legacy point-to-point interfacing technologies were replaced with robust Azure resources, a large number of new interfaces have been added, and a modern development process is in place, propelling us towards full automation. 

As our UI Designer

You are working closely with our end users, UX designers, Product Owners and Product Development teams in order to make the life of our users easier, HR in 60 seconds is our mission. Your main focus is to convert user needs and functional roadmap items to user interface designs and participate in user testing and investigation on user experience in close collaboration with our Business Analysts and Product Owners. You will be working on one of the key initiatives of the company as well as providing ONE Youforce experience throughout the entire product. You will be fluently using our design system and ensuring it is ready and up to date to be used by our development teams. You will be part of really making a difference to the lives of many people in the Netherlands!

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the product team to transform user needs and functional requirements to beautiful, easy to use UI designs;

• Develop wireframes, user flows and prototypes to communicate design ideas and solutions;

• Participate in user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement;

• Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and effectively;

• Closely work with product owners to help them visualise different design options to solve the usability problems;

• Continuously evaluate and improve the user experience of our web application, using data and feedback to inform design decisions;

• Be on the top of our design system and ensure it is up to date and always ready to be used by our development teams;

• Collaborate with our UX designers and mentor our frontend developers and development teams in UI design related topics.

Must haves

• 3+ years of experience in UI design for web and mobile applications;

• Strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces;

• Curiosity  on user research and usability testing and interest in growing more in the area;

• Capable of making decisions based on abstract data;

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (or Sketch or Adobe XD);

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus;

• Fluent Dutch and English languages.
